Frederick R.  Sumner Jr.
Frederick R. Sumner, Jr, 73 of Philadelphia, PA, died Thursday in the VA Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA.
Born in Audubon, NJ, he was the son of the late Frederick R. Sumner Sr. and the late Emily (Gallagher) Sumner. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964.
Fred lived in Southwest Philadelphia for the past 23 years coming from New Jersey. He was an over the road Tractor Trailer Driver, Automotive enthusiast and mechanic. Fred also liked to work with electronics and was a licensed Amateur radio (also called Ham radio) operator and held the highest license.
Fred was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 252, Williamstown, NJ
He is survived by his wife Terry Bolden, his first wife Antionette Nicosia and there children Frederick R. Sumner III, Salvatore Sumner, Michael Sumner and Denise Sumner. He is also survived by his daughter Heather Sumner and was the father of the late Nicholas Sumner.
Brother and sisters: Charles Wintling, Helen Wright, Jackie Peters, Patricia Cadigan, Susan Longo and Penny Ayres. Fred is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
