Obituary for Michael J. FitzPatrick

Michael J. FitzPatrick
1955-2017
Michael J. FitzPatrick, age 61 of Ridley Twp., Folsom, PA, died suddenly Tuesday January 24, 2017 in the Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and the late Bernadette T (Pryor) FitzPatrick.
He has lived in Folsom for the past 32 years with his beloved wife Judy, of 36 years. Mike went to Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Bryn Mawr, and Carroll High school in Radnor. He was a Project Manager, employed by Nooter Construction, a steamfitter by trade and a member of Local 420 for 37 years.
Mike lived his life for others and was admired by all who knew him. Whether it was an old high school friend, a coworker, or someone Mike randomly encountered in his daily life, everyone was left with the same impression; “What a great guy!” Above all, Mike was a family man. He wanted nothing more than to spend his days with his wife Judy, and he beamed with pride when he was in the presence of his daughter Melanie and his granddaughter Brooklyn. He was a patriarch in the truest sense of the word, and many immediate and extended family members leaned on Mike when times were tough.
He loved his dog Daisy and playing Golf with his buddies, brothers, nephews and Son-in-Law, Chris. Mike coached both boys and girls basketball at Our Lady of Peace School. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida, especially Disney World and at the shore (even though he stayed under the umbrella) with his wife, daughter and son-in-law. He also never passed up a chance to try his luck at the casino.
Michael is survived by his wife: Judith (Hagan) FitzPatrick; his daughter: Melanie Lange (Chris), Granddaughter Brooklyn Lange; his three sisters: Catherine Burt, Patricia McGee (Tom) and Bernadette Strubing (Bruce), and his two brothers:
Thomas FitzPatrick (Susan) and John FitzPatrick (Gwen). As well as many loving nieces and nephews.
