1936-2016
Gertrude M. Good (nee Persing) 80 years old, former long time resident of Chester and Woodlyn, passed away Tuesday, October 18th at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Media, Pennsylvania.
Affectionately known as "Rickie" to her friends, she was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on March 2nd, 1936, and moved to Chester as a young girl. She was a graduate of Chester High School in 1954. Rickie was fond of roller skating and playing bingo, and always enjoyed a house full of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at all times. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mabel (Connelly) Persing, one daughter, Donna Mathues, and four brothers, Donald, Kenneth, James, and Richard Persing. She is survived by five daughters, Linda Good of Brookhaven, Debby Farraday (Rich) of Marcus Hook, Brenda Thompson (Melvin) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Ginger Gronus (Bill) of Marcus Hook, and Teresa Lewis of Glen Mills, and one son John (Tina) of Wilmington, Delaware. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass Monday 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, Milmont Ave, Milmont Park.
Friends may call Monday from 9:30-10:30am at Our Lady of Peace Church,
Burial: East Lawn Cemetery, Milmont Park.
