1937-2016
James G. Wiegerink, Jr, 79 of, Honey Brook, PA, died Thursday October 18, 2016 in the Crozer-Keystone Hospice, Ridley Park, PA.
Born in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late James G and the late Frieda (Vander Schore) Wiegerink,Sr. Jim was a resident of Honey Brook for the past 10 years coming from Ridley Twp. Jim graduated in 1955 from Ridley Park High School where he played football, baseball and basketball. He was inducted into the Delco Hall of Fame. He attended Duke University and graduated from Hope College in Michigan.
Jim was the personnel manager at Atlantic Steel Castings in Chester, manager at Carl A. Doubet Jewelers and owner of Brandywine Jewelers, Wilmington, DE before retiring in 2005. He was in the Army Reserves and a member of the Chadds Ford Rotary. He was an avid sports fan.
Predeceased by his wife Marietta J. Viss Wiegerink.
Survived by his children Thomas (Kate) Wiegerink, Sandra (Patrick) McFadden and Cara Foglio.
two sisters: Anne Anderson and Patsy Gaudreau,
5 grandchildren, ; 1 Great Grandson, and many niece and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Monday October 24, 2016 at 11:00 am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden
