Rodger W. White, 77 of Glenolden, PA, Formerly of Ridley Park died Tuesday June 5, 2018 in the Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, PA. after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Adolphus Eugene and the late Clara Jeannette (Johnston) White.
Rodger was a Police Officer for the Borough of Ridley Park. He retired in 2002.
He was a member of Delaware County FOP Lodge 27, American Legion John Wesley Cross Post 507, Norwood, Ridley Park Fire Co. and Prospect Park Fire Co.
Predeceased by his daughter Jeanette King and his sister Sandy Dwyer.
Survived by his wife: Nancy (Nee Mansley) White, daughter Dawn White, step Son James (Laura) Walls, step daughter Theresa Soltis and son-in-law; Robert R. King IV
Grandchildren, Joshua Gable, Elizabeth King, Robert King V; Colin and Kate Walls
Siblings: Margaret Pitts, S. Warren (Joyce) White, David N. White, Susan (Buddy) Fachet and Richard A. White, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday June 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pk, Glenolden, PA
Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park Co., Glen Mills.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Ridley Park Fire Co.
